Both active triclopyr & aminopyralid belong to the group of pyridine carboxylic acid herbicides. They are quickly absorbed by plants and transported, to accumulate in the meristematic tissue. In sensitive species both active ingredients cause symptoms of syxins. These include stem elongation, premature aging and eventually cessation of growth and rapid necrosis.
